ISO9000簡介

　　 ISO 是國際標準化組織（International Organization for Standardization）的簡稱。該組織於 1987 年公佈有關ISO9000品質管理制度的國際標準，適合於全世界各行業用以提高它們的產品，工程或服務的品質檔次，從而達到世界認可的水平。

　　 ISO 總部目前設於瑞士日內瓦，該組織發源於工業界的管理系統模式，旨在建立一套運作程序，然後朝預定目標前進，確保機構能生產優質的產品和提供理想的服務質素。該組織由世界許多個國家的標準機構參加為會員所組成的，其宗旨是制訂和評審國際標準的機構，讓加入組織的世界各行業的企業及機構得以提高產品及服務的品質檔次，從而達到世界認可的水平，現已有超過100多個國家採用ISO9000標準。

　　目前ISO9000已成為ISO標準中最被採納與普及的標準，而且有很多政府部門把ISO9000註冊取得證書作為供貨合約之要求。在澳門特別行政區二零零一年之施政報告中，更強調政府部門之 "服務承諾"，並在個別部門引入ISO9000品質管理的概念，以加強公共行政的問責性和提高服務效率。

　　ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 161 countries, one member per country, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, that coordinates the system.
　　ISO is a non-governmental organization that forms a bridge between the public and private sectors. On the one hand, many of its member institutes are part of the governmental structure of their countries, or are mandated by their government. On the other hand, other members have their roots uniquely in the private sector, having been set up by national partnerships of industry associations.
　　Therefore, ISO enables a consensus to be reached on solutions that meet both the requirements of business and the broader needs of society
